John A. Curtis

Eastford, CT – John A. Curtis, age 71, died Friday, November 1, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

John was born in Putnam, CT, son of the late Ezra and Ella (Smith) Curtis and lived in Eastford all his life.  He worked for many years in a sawmill, milling lumber.    He enjoyed fishing, guns, war history and all things related to tractors. 

John was predeceased by his wife, Artelle (Young) Curtis in 2018.  He s survived by a son, Justin R. Curtis and his wife Debra of Eastford; a daughter, Amanda Curtis and her fiancé Jason of Eastford; nine grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.  In addition to his wife, John was predeceased by a brother, Roger Curtis of Eastford.
