John “Pete” Paquette
1936 - 2025
Putnam – John “Pete” Paquette, 89, of Mantup Rd., formerly of Thompson, died Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025, at Day Kimbal Hospital. He was the loving husband of 39 years to the late Muriel O. (Trudeau) Paquette, that died on January 25, 2013. Born in Thompson, he was the son of the late Armas and Edwina (Chupput) Paquette.
Mr. Paquette worked for many years as a union laborer in the construction field, building many bridges and buildings in and around Connecticut. His favorite construction project was the Gampel Pavilion on the UConn campus.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Maurice Paquette, Gerald Paquette, Richard Paquette, Theodore Paquette, Robert Paquette and his sisters, Fluerette Lechert and Jeanne Guerette.
A private graveside service was held on Monday, November 24, 2025, in St. Joseph Cemetery, 18 Main St., North Grosvenordale, CT.
