Dayville, CT- Joseph W. OLeszewski age 80 passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Tellier) Oleszewski who passed away in 2013.
Joseph leaves three daughters, Lisa and Jim Knavel of Texas, Lynn and David Langlois of Dayville and with which her father made his home and Lori Oleszewski of Putnam and grandchildren, Nicole Olson, Tyler Olson, Terrence Oleszewski and his partner Meaghan Dailey, Joelle Simmons, Chyrese Ladson, Jacob Gilman, Marquel Ladson, Knavel, Cade and Camm Knavel and a great grandson, Luke Olson. He was also predeceased by a son John P. Oleszewski of North Grosvenordale, CT, Joseph also leaves a brother Paul Oleszewski of Woodstock, CT.
Joe was born in North Grosvenordale, CT, son of the late Joseph S. Oleszewski and Rita B. (Durand) Oleszewski and lived in the area all his life. Joseph was a US Air Force Vietnam Era veteran. He retired from CT. Light and Power where he worked for many years. Joe was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Valley Sportsmen Club and served as Treasurer for several years. Joe was a kind good-hearted person and was always there to give a helping hand. Family was foremost to him.
