Karen C. Higgins
1960-2025
Webster – Karen C. Higgins, age 64, died Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
Karen was born in Webster, daughter of the late Dean and Maryann (Spitz) Higgins and was lifelong resident of Webster. She was a 1978 graduate of Bartlett High School. She was last employed as a purchasing agent at Charles River, formerly Mason Research.
Karen enjoyed the Florida theme parks, especially Disney. She was a music enthusiast, especially Neil Diamond and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She was a gifted painter, loved to draw and enjoyed reading. She loved animals, especially dogs. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
Karen is survived by her brothers, Robert Higgins and John Higgins, both of Webster; by her sister, Kathleen Greene and her husband Jeffrey of North Grosvenordale; and by her niece, Megan Greene, also of North Grosvenordale. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her beloved dogs, Daisy, Butch, Rambo and Cheyenne.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Karen on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11 am in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701.
