Dudley – Kim Marie Bernier left this world much too soon on Saturday June 4, 2022 at age 56 while at the UMass Memorial Medical Center after suffering a traumatic brain injury.
She passed surrounded by her devoted partner of twenty-two years, Miguel Mercado, loving children, Ashley Bernier, Jean Brisbois, and Jacquelynne Mercado, and dear sister Lisa Palmer. She also leaves her brother Brian Palmer, sister Jodie Guhr, stepdaughter Amanda Day, her nieces Cheyenne Benson and Olivia Vangel, nephews Kevin Palmer and Erik Nelson; she was predeceased by two sisters Patti Georges and Lori Nelson.
She was born to the late Raymond E. and Carol T. (Carpenter) Palmer in Milwaukee, WI on January 5, 1966. At age 11 she and her family moved to Massachusetts where she excelled in school, raised her children, and spent the rest of her life enjoying the beach, feeding the birds, Judge Judy, a cold glass of milk, fresh tomatoes and cherries, music, dancing, purple flowers, and spending time with her family and friends, ideally beating them at cards.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of Kim’s life on Tuesday June 14, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street Webster, MA.
