Woodstock, Connecticut – Linda A. (Woodward) Geiger, age 82, passed on Tuesday, 24 September, 2024, at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam.
Linda was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Oscar Jr. and Josephine (Perkins) Woodward and lived in Jasper, Georgia before moving to Woodstock seven years ago. After retiring from teaching mathematics in Massachusetts and Georgia public schools, she became a self-employed professional genealogist, performing research for clients and lecturing across the United States.
Linda enjoyed cooking, family history, and landscape photography. She was also skilled in crafts such as embroidery, quilting, and making greeting cards, bringing happiness to many by gifting her creations.
Her husband, Charles H. Geiger, died in 2008. Linda is survived by her son Marcus Lorusso of Malta, Montana, her companion, Kenneth Griffin of Woodstock, and her sister Gale Miller of Claremont, New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard Woodward and her twin Peter Woodward.
