Lorraine E. Polletta
1929 - 2025
Webster – Lorraine E. (Rekowski) Polletta, 95, formerly of Maple St., died Saturday morning, August 9, 2025, at Lanessa Extended Care Center. She was the loving wife for sixty-five years of the late Henry J. Polletta who passed away on December 5, 2015. Born in Webster, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Doris (Rondeau) Rekowski.
Mrs. Polletta was the proud owner of “Drive with Lorraine” driving school. After which she joined the Webster Police Department as an administrative assistant to the chief of police as well as serving as the first policewoman and matron for the town. She retired from the force in 1984.
Lorraine enjoyed playing cards and visiting the local casinos.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, sister-in-law Rose Rekowski of Webster, and many friends. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Robert Rekowski and Warren Rekowski
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Lanessa Extended care center for their thoughtful and kind care of Lorraine over the years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570. Burial is private.
