Oxford- Lorraine June Agnes (Cushing) Erskine age 92 died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at  St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester,MA
She was predeceased by her husband, Lenwood E. Erskine, Sr. who died in 1995,  a daughter Kathleen E. Hippert who died in 1980, four sisters, Yvonne, Claire, Shirley and Irene and her Uncle, the late Cardinal Richard James Cushing who was the Archbishop of Boston from 1944-1970.
She leaves three sons, Lenwood E. Erskine, Jr. and his significant other, Kitsana of Melbourne, FL, Lewis E. Erskine and his wife Elizabeth of Anaheim, CA and Thomas E. Erskine and his wife Wendy of Oxford, MA.  She also leaves a daughter Candice L.  Anderson of Anaheim, CA and one sister Lillian Grochowski of Nashua, NH, 13 grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren and 7  Great Great Grandchildren. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Oxford, MA where she was a choir member and also attended St. Roch's Church in Oxford, MA.
She was born in Gorham, NH to the late Emery and Alice (Lemire) Cushing and grew up in Nashua, NH and lived in Auburn MA and Worcester, MA and for the past 25 years in Oxford, MA.  She enjoyed playing the organ for many years and enjoyed frequent trips to visit her only remaining sister, Lillian in Nashua, NH. She loved her cats who were very much a comfort to her after the death of her husband.
There are no calling hours or services.  Burial will be private at North Cemetery in Oxford, MA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church , Main St., Oxford, MA
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their care and support during her stay.
