Louise M. (Siegmond) Piehl
1922 – 2026

Louise Mildred (Siegmund) Piehl passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the age of 103 in Worcester, MA.

She was born to Harry and Louise (Schur) Siegmund on January 31, 1922 in Marlborough, Massachusetts, where she grew up.  After graduating high school, Louse went on to nursing school and became a registered nurse and a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps.

In 1947, she married Herman Piehl and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary before his death in 2018.  During their life together, they built their first house in Northborough, Massachusetts and raised their three children there.  In 1979, the moved to Florida only to eventually return to Massachusetts in 2014.

Louise enjoyed playing the piano, knitting and playing bingo. 

Louise was predeceased by her husband, Herman Piehl, her parents, Harry and Louise Siegmund, her brother, Harold, her son, Ernest Piehl and her son-in-law, Leonard Perloff.

Louise leaves her son, Donald Piehl and his wife Carol of Brooksville, Fl.; her daughter, Deborah Perloff of Goffstown, NH; her daughter-in-law, Judy Piehl of Fort McCoy, Fl.; four grandchildren, Jeremy Piehl, Jessica Galik, Rebecca (Derek) Brown and Matthew (Anna) Perloff; many great-grandchildren.

At her request, there are no calling hours or funeral services planned.   Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home & Cremation, 48 School Street, Webster, MA has been entrusted with Louise’s arrangements.  A memorial guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
