Lucy A. (DiSilvestro) Testa, 83, of Dudley, MA, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Toussaint “Sam” Testa, of Dudley; her four children, Samuel Testa and his wife, Linda, of Clinton; Carolann Testa of Webster; Rosemary Testa of Hudson, FL; and John Testa of Dudley; nine grandchildren, Gina, Anthony, Maria, Justin, Jamie, Dillon, Zachary, Austin and Joshua, and one great grandchild, Brianna; her sister, Carmella Flynn of Oxford; sister-in-law, Mary DiSilvestro, of Worcester; brother-in-law Carlo Testa and his wife, Marie, of Shrewsbury; sister-in-law, Adeline Bujnowski, of Shrewsbury; many nieces and nephews.
Lucy was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Giacomo and Josephine (Santanstaro) DiSilvestro. She is predeceased by her brother, Joseph DiSilvestro, and her sisters, Michelena Childs, Jenny Parslow and Mary Simpson.
Lucy lived most of her life in the Shrewsbury Street neighborhood of Worcester, before later moving to Dudley. She worked for many years at Spag’s in Shrewsbury. She loved to cook and bake foods in the Italian tradition. Lucy’s greatest enjoyment was her family and she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home of Webster is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
