Lynn Addington Obituary

Southbridge – Lynn A. Addington, 71, passed away on December 7, 2020 while at the Brookside Rehabilitation Center in Webster.

Lynn was born in Southbridge, MA on February 20, 1949, son of the late Murray A. and Albina G. (Lafleche) Addington.  After graduating from High School, Lynn went work at the AO Cabinet Shop, then the Spree Toy Store in Worcester, where he worked as the Assistant Manager; afterwards, Lynn moved to Maine where he worked for the Ellis Paperboard Company. After living in Maine for a number of years, Lynn came back to Southbridge where he was a construction worker and a darn good “backyard mechanic” for many years.  Lynn was a longtime member of the Pulaski Club in Southbridge; he enjoyed deep sea fishing and spending time with his faithful dogs.  Lynn was also an avid cribbage player who very much enjoyed teaching others how to play.

Lynn will be deeply missed by his three brothers: Don Addington of Yarmouth, Eugene Addington of Hereford, AZ, and Michael A. Addington of Southbridge; he also leaves many relatives and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday May 15, 2021 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 111 Main Street Southbridge, MA.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street Boston, MA 02114
