Peter R. Gifford

North Grosvenordale, CT – Peter R. Gifford age 67 passed away with his loving family at his side Tuesday, June 6, 2023.He leaves his life partner, Terry Reddy of Worcester, MA, a son Matthew Gifford and his wife Jessica of Temple, NH a daughter Emily Shaw of Peterborough, NH, four grandchildren, Jacoby Jutras, Harrison Yeary, Ronan Gifford, and Ethan Gifford.  Peter also leaves his mother Viola (Merolli) Gifford of North Grosvenordale, CT, his brother John Gifford of E. Woodstock, CT, two sisters, Ann Korswig of E. Woodstock and Christine Gifford of Putnam, CT. 

Peter was born in Milford MA, the son of the late John Gifford.  Peter lived in Temple NH and returned to CT, living in the Woodstock and Thompson area since 1999.  He loved spending time with his four grandchildren, bass fishing, boating, motorcycles, gardening, NASCAR. Peter loved his home and working in his yard.  He had an appreciation for his neighbors as they also did for him.  He was not just a neighbor but became family.   Peter could always be seen tinkering in his yard or doing a new project. He will be missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held July 15, 2023, at 1 PM at the East Woodstock Congregational Church Fellowship Hall, 220 Woodstock, Rd., Woodstock, CT. Please omit flowers and donations in his memory may be made to the Woodstock Conservation, Woodstock, CT. 06281
