Obituary
Sterling, CT- Raymond L. Blanchette- age 87 passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, CT. He was the husband of the late Sandra (Benoit) Blanchette who passed away in 2021.
He leaves two sons Brian A. Blanchette and his fiancée Jessica A. Mobley of Sterling, Christopher Blanchette and his wife Bethany of Rogers. Ray also had a son who predeceased him, Raymond F. Blanchette of Florida. Ray also leaves eight grandchildren Brooke, Emily, Jameson, Donovan, Kyler, Sonia, Devin and Nicholas. Raymond also leaves a sister Betty Knight of Henderson, TN. Ray had a brother and three sisters that predeceased him, Francis Blanchette of Putnam, CT, Lorraine Shaw of Norwich, Lillian of Plainfield and Dorris Lockwood of CT.
He was born in Wauregan, son of the late Frank Blanchette and Blanche (Vachon) Blanchette and lived Attawaugen most of his life. He was a retired textile worker and worked for Acme Cotton in Dayville. Ray enjoyed tinkering and the outdoors. There are no calling hours all services are private. Please omit flowers and donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory. The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA has been entrusted with is arrangements.
