Raymond G. Leo
1947 - 2025
Raymond G. Leo, age 78, of Dudley, beloved husband of Sharon E. (Pupka) Leo, died Sunday, November 23, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Raymond was born in Webster, MA, son of the late Raymond E. & Jeanne (Gravel) Leo. Raymond earned his bachelor’s degree from Nichols College.
Raymond spent 55 years of beautiful marriage to his wife and best friend, Sharon. The two spent almost every morning sipping coffee on their back deck watching the sun rise. They were rarely seen apart from one another.
He was a man of strong character and steady faith. He believed deeply in the power of prayer and had a great love of Jesus Christ. If he knew you, he was praying for you. He was known for the way he poured himself into teaching practical skills to the next generation. Whether it was woodworking, gardening, maintaining and running small equipment, cooking, or any of a myriad of other things, he had a gift for helping young people push past fears and discover confidence in their own hands and abilities. His know-how and passion turned simple tasks into life-lessons.
More than anything, he hoped that these teachable moments would point others toward the love of Jesus and the Truth of the Scriptures. He would often quote Mark 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?” He built much more than projects, he built character, planted confidence, and left a legacy of Faith in Jesus that continues to grow in the lives he touched.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, Sharon E. (Pupka) Leo, Raymond is survived by his son, Michael R. Leo and his wife Christine of Dudley; by two adoring grandchildren Gavin Leo and Ivy Leo, both of Dudley. In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by a younger brother, Wayne M. Leo.
