Raymond C. Rohr age 80 of Webster passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Webster, Massachusetts son of the late Charles & Anne (Behayla) Rohr. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret “Peggy” (Macuga) Rohr in 2014.
He leaves five children, Tammy Weiss of Palm Harbor, FL, Annette Bratica and her spouse Stephen of Milford, MA, Kristine Place and her spouse Steven of Webster, MA, Tracy Hakala and her spouse John of Dudley, MA and Jason Rohr of Burlington, NC. He is the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren – Samantha, Anthony, Alexis, Christopher, Anthony, Katelyn and Charles, and one great-grandchild Ava. He also leaves his sister Linda Bohenko and brother in-law Richard of Webster, MA.
Raymond attended the University of Lowell graduating with a Bachelor of Science in accounting thereafter starting a long successful career at Dexter-Russell Cutlery of 41 years where he retired as Treasurer in 2007. His strong work ethic and dedication earned him the honor to be placed on the Dexter Russell Richard B. Hardy Wall of Fame; an honor bestowed by his fellow workers for exemplary standards of dedication, trust and respect. Along with his Treasury position, Ray served on the Board of Directors at Southbridge Savings Bank for 10 years.
Raymond’s passion was spending time on and around the water. As a lifetime resident of Webster Lake, he enjoyed boating, water skiing, and hosting July 4th celebrations with family and friends.
In retirement, he loved spending time with friends at his boat on Narragansett Bay. He also was an avid cyclist who enjoyed riding throughout the beautiful areas of New England and the annual Flattest Century in the East each Fall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the United Way of South Central Massachusetts in Ray’s memory.
