Richard F. Nelson, age 63, of the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at home.

He was predeceased by his wife, Robin (Wagher) Nelson.  He leaves a son, Brian Nelson of Leicester; a daughter, Jennifer Repekta of Millbury; a brother, Edward Nelson of Leicester; two grandchildren, Robyn and Janie.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Francis and Margaret (Knox) Nelson and lived in Cherry Valley most of his life.  He was a machinist by trade, having worked at Stafford Special Tools.  He was a member of the Leicester American Legion and enjoyed motorcycles.

There are no calling hours.  Funeral services and burial are private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leicester American Legion.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster has been entrusted with arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may light a candle or post a condolence message.
