Pascoag, RI – Richard A. Paradis, beloved husband of Sharon M. (Duval) Paradis, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Hope Health Hospice in Providence, RI.
Richard was born in Webster, MA, son of the late Raymond and Frances (Burns) Paradis and lived in Webster most of his life, moving to Pascoag 37 years ago. Richard was an auto mechanic, working several years for Burrillville Chevrolet. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. Richard enjoyed sailing, football and the New England Patriots.
Richard and Sharon were married for 48 years. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by a foster son, Nathan Delvecchio and by three children from a previous marriage. He is also survived by a brother, Guy Paradise and his wife Lynn of Agat, Guam; three sisters, Nancy Paradis of Oley, PA, Gloria Gibney and her husband Richard of Sterling, MA, and Janine Perillo of Pawcatuck, CT. He was predeceased by a brother, Bill Paradise of Martha’s Vineyard and by a sister, Bonnie Paradis of Webster.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11:30 am in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any Animal Shelter of the donor’s choice. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster has been entrusted with Richard’s arrangements.
