1940 - 2025
Robert “Bob” Newton Browning Jr. 84, of Worcester, MA, died peacefully on January 10, 2025 with family by his side.
Born in Webster, MA to Robert N Browning Sr. and Martha (Gionet) Browning. Bob was predeceased by the love of his life Patricia Helen Browning in 2018 after 56 years of marriage.
He is survived by his four children, Helen (Browning) Kuntz, and spouse, Jerry Kuntz: Elizabeth Browning and spouse, Maureen Mullins; Thomas Browning; Robert Browning III and spouse, Katherine Browning. He was the grandfather to three grandchildren, Jeri Lee Kuntz; Jason Kuntz, Britini Browning and one great grandson, Joseph Mora. He is also survived by three brothers,Stephen Browning and spouse Susan; Ralph Browning and spouse Elizabeth: and Paul Browning and spouse Diana.
Bob was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather who prioritized his family above all else. He always had a smile and kind words to share, a great sense of humor, a positive outlook and enjoyment of life that brought laughter and joy to all who knew him.
He loved spending time with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was driving the scenic roads of New England and enjoying the beauty of the area. Bob loved New England’s sports teams including the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox and UConn women’s basketball.
Bob was raised in Oxford. He was a talented athlete who lettered in 2 sports at Oxford high school; he graduated in 1958. He was also a graduate of Atlantic Union College. Bob retired from Norton Company after many years, He held a variety of positions including industrial engineer and plant manager.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, in his final years he was a member in Corinna, ME where his daughter Helen attends. He will rest in peace until his loving savior comes to take him home.
