Roger Sargent Sr Obituary

Webster – Roger E. Sargent Sr, 82, passed away on Thursday October 28, 2021 while at the Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.

Roger was born in Oxford, MA on July 8, 1939, son of the late Marvin and Ruth (Metcalf) Sargent; he worked at Leggett & Platt for many years prior to his retirement.  Roger enjoyed watching Wrestling, NASCAR and Demolition Derbies; he loved spending time with his family at local fairs and family cookouts.

Roger will be deeply missed by his loving wife of fifty years Linda (Wetherbee) Sargent; his sons Roger Sargent Jr and his companion Jamie Peterson of Dudley, Marshall Sargent and his companion Renee Andrews of Webster, and Roger AKA Kender of Palmer; his daughters Kathy Gabis and her husband Tom of Dudley, Cheri Hodges and her husband Keith of Dudley, and Ruth Sargent and her companion Rick Leonard of Southbridge; his sisters Dixie Dumont of NH and Cynthia Tryba of Webster; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his very good neighbor Jean Silvestri; he was predeceased by his son Craig Sargent, as well as his brothers Ronald, Darrel, and Merrill Sargent, and his sisters Elaine, Norma, and Nerma.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
