Ronald W. Turski, 74, of Danielson, CT, beloved husband of Alannah Turski, died Wednesday January 13, 2021 at Day Kimball hospital. Born January 27, 1946 in Monroe, MI, he was the son of the late Julius and Veronica Turski. He was one of thirteen children.
Ron worked most of his career in the well drilling industry, Self-employed as The Bit Doctor, sharpening and repairing bits all over New England for companies like Numa in CT, On Target in ME and JCR Drilling in NH. He also worked on projects like The Big Dig in Boston MA, the East Side Reservoir (Diamond Valley Lake) CA and he also set up a company for repair in Japan. His lifetime business helped put him on the front cover of Water Well Magazine. Most recently he was employed for Rol-Vac where he worked in shipping and receiving.
Ron will be greatly missed for his hard work and humorous disposition. He was always joking around, he loved deep sea fishing and going to the casino.
He is survived by his wife, Alannah, of 42yrs, his children, Melissa Philibert (Glenn), Todd Turski, Kimberly Caron (Bob), Joe (Renee) Turski, and Kerri Turski. He also is survived by six grandchildren; Sean, Nicole, Jake, T.J., Kyleigh and Cassie.
He is predeceased by his brothers Dick Turski and Paul Turski, and stepson Jason Gomes. Services are private. The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA is directing arrangements. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle.
