East Longmeadow – Ruth Arnold, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024 at her home in East Longmeadow.

Ruth is survived by two sons: Steven J. Arnold of Maine and David Arnold Ackerman of Boston; two daughters: Gail Arnold of Worcester and June Aisha Mathews of East Longmeadow; four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Richard Arnold, her husband, Marshall Arnold, her parents Jacob Meyer Goldfarb and Anna Kagan Goldfarb Meltzer, her brothers Milton Goldfarb and Herb Forbes, and her sisters Rose Abrams and Vivian Franks.

Ruth moved to East Longmeadow from her home in Worcester after the death of her husband. She was a member of Eastern Star and the East Longmeadow Senior Center. A loving mother, Ruth enjoyed her time with ‘her babies’, nature, animals, eating good food and sharing her joy with others.
