Ryan Tetreault - Chamberland Obituary

Ryan Lee Tetreault-Chamberland (“Byrd”), age 30, passed into eternal rest on January 2, 2021 with his parents by his side.  He was born on March 29, 1990 in Putnam, CT and lived most of his life in the Moosup area.

Ryan completed high school and went to work as soon as he could.  His employment included the 99 Restaurant, Country View Restaurant, Putnam Plastics, Storage, Etc., and his last position was at Morgan Truck Body.  It was during his time at Morgan Truck Body that Ryan began suffering with a sore foot.  That sore foot led to finding out that he had cancer in his lungs, foot, spine, and brain.  He underwent numerous radiation treatments, endured some chemotherapy, and had two surgeries on his spine so he could continue to walk.  Ryan was a very strong-willed person and insisted on doing his own shopping until the week he passed.  He will be remembered for having fought a brave and courageous battle until the end.

Ryan was an all-around good person and had many friends, but his best friend was his canine companion Kona, who was by his side through all his trials.  One of his favorite things to do was walk and play with her.

Ryan is survived by his mother Holly L. Tetreault, his father Randy M. Chamberland, his brother and sister-in-law Brandon and Nicole Chamberland, his two nieces Kendall and Kaylee Chamberland, all of Moosup, his maternal grandmother Lynn L. Krajewski of Danielson, and his maternal great-grandmother Dorothy G. Post of Putnam.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his best friend/canine companion Kona.

Ryan was pre-deceased by his brother Donald P. Chamberland, his paternal grandmother and grandfather Kathleen and Donald P. Chamberland, his maternal grandfather David L. Krajewski, and his previous canine companion Mikko.

A celebration of life for Ryan will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of NE CT. The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home 48 School St., Webster, MA is directing arrangements.   Share a memory or light a candle at www.shaw-majercik.com.
