Samuel McGann Obituary

Shrewsbury – Samuel A. McGann, 28, passed away at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester on Sunday October 31, 2021.

Samuel was born in Worcester, MA on March 5, 1993, son of Owen A. McGann Jr. and Gail E. (Brosky) McGann.  Samuel very much enjoyed playing video games, scouting, bowling, and football; he also enjoyed music, especially the guitar.  Samuel loved taking trips to the beach and going on new adventures; his infectious smile and booming laugh will be missed by all who knew him.

Samuel is survived by his mother Gail E. (Brosky) McGann of Shrewsbury; four brothers: Daniel and his wife Erica Friend of Auburn, Owen McGann III of Leominster, John McGann of Maynard, and Chase McGann of Rutland; his sister Briana R. Lowell and her husband Dimitri of Barre; his nephews Conner, Ryder, and Cameron; his nieces Amber and Ashley; he also leaves his good friends Lance and Tom of Worcester; he was predeceased by his father Owen A. McGann Jr.

A Celebration of Samuel’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday November 12, 2021 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester, 90 Holden Street Worcester, MA.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 309 Belmont Street Worcester, MA 01604 in memory of Samuel.
