Worcester – Sara Cuevas Alonzo, 81, passed away on Friday November 25, 2022 at Memorial Hospital.
Sara was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on November 27, 1940, daughter of the late Eduardo Cuevas and Carmen Alonzo; she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who adored her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sara is survived by her sons: Rafael Hernandez and his wife Omayra of Worcester, and Jose Harnandez and his wife Dora of Florida; her daughter Wanda Hernandez of Worcester; her brothers Eduardo and Felipe Cuevas of Arecibo, Puerto Rico; her sisters: Maria Schnaer, Carmen Guzman, Rosa Cuevas, Miriam Pagano, Ines Cuevas, Elizabeth Rivera, and Olga Cuevas; she also leaves four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. Sara was predeceased by her brothers Samuel and Daniel Cuevas, and her sister Cruz Margarita.
All are welcome to attend calling hours on Wednesday November 30, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Iglesia Cristiana La Senda Antigua, 2 Woodland Street Worcester, MA. Funeral and Committal Services will be private.
