Woodstock Valley, CT- Sherl J. Ash age 85 died Saturday, November14, 2015.  He was the husband of the late, Rosalie (Houghton) Ash.  He leaves his son and his wife,with which he made his home, David E.  Ash of Woodstock Valley.  He also leaves 9 grandchildren.  He was born in Newell, West Virginia son of the late Albert and Gladys Ash and lived in Woodstock since 2012, prior to that living in Chester, West Virginia.  He served in the US Navy during Korea.  He was a retired Heavy Equipment operator. There are no calling hours.  Upon his request arrangements are private.  The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA has been entrusted with his arrangements.  Donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice Nursing of Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, CT. in his memory.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or a memory.
