Shirley Mossa Obituary
Auburn / Worcester- Shirley T. Mossa, age 90, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehab, Worcester, MA.
She leaves a son, George Mayo and his wife Patricia of Oxford; two daughters, Cindy Mayo of Coconut Creek, FL and Kathryn Znamierowski and her husband Craig of Charlton. Shirley also leaves five grandchildren, Heather, Emily, Danielle, Nick and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Jack, Abel and Dylan. Shirley was predeceased by a grandson Jason, as well as her three sisters, Arlene, Gladys and Ruthie.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Adelard Groleau and Pearl (Young) Groleau and lived in Worcester/Auburn most of her life. Shirley enjoyed working at the Astra Pharmaceutical pyramid in Westboro as a quality control inspector, retiring in 2001. Shirley enjoyed trips to the casino and doing crafts and could always be found on her computer. She was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan, and was watching the Celtics playoff game at the time of her passing.
There are no calling hours, and all services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Needy Cats Corporation in Sterling, MA where she adopted her two furry friends, Tessie and Bella.
