Webster – Stergios “Stanley” Giantsios, 85, passed away on Monday September 25, 2023 while surrounded by his loving wife and family at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge.
Stergios was born in Greece on January 1, 1938 son of the late Evangelos and Maria Giantsios; Stergios owned and operated the former Stanley’s Heating & Cooling Service for many years prior to his retirement. Stergios was a longtime and devoted member of the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church where he helped direct the Church Chior for many years, and was often found building or repairing things. Stergios engineered and built the rotisserie which the church uses roast shish-ke-bab; he was also one of the original pitmasters for the church’s annual festival, along with his son. Stergios was truly one of the most kind and generous people you could meet, and instantly made you feel welcome and part of the family.
Stergios is survived by his loving and devoted wife Kiriaki “Noula” Giantsios; his daughter Maria Gianstios of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Kenna, Nikita, Kira, Ariel & Darius, and adoring great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and cherished friends. Stergios is predeceased by his sons Evangelos “Vange” Giantsios and Anestis Giantsios.
