Susan Koziak Obituary

Dudley- Susan M. (Bielik) Koziak, 95 passed away peacefully October 21 surrounded by the loving presence of her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Edward T. Koziak who passed away in 2005.  She leaves a son Edward T. Koziak Jr. and his wife Sherry of Charlton, two daughters, Madeline Nawrocki and her husband Peter, Jeanne Hackenson and her husband David all of Dudley, and 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Susan was predeceased by her daughter, Sue Ann Canty of Webster in 2018.  She also had four brothers and six sisters that predeceased her, John, Paul, Stephen, and Joseph Bielik, Anna Koziak, Julie Spitz, Josephine Gogolinski, Rose Kubik, Agnes Masley, and Elizabeth Manzi.
She was born in Dudley, daughter of the late Paul F. Bielik and Suzanna (Kopas) Bielik and lived in the Webster- Dudley area all her life.  She retired from Commerce Insurance Co and previously worked many years at Bentley Shoe Co. until it closed.  Susan's greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She spent countless hours cooking and making pierogi, poppyseed and nut breads for holiday gatherings and preparing special Slovakian dishes.  She enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's athletic sports games and never missed them.   She had a strong faith and attended mass almost daily. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, baking, dancing with the Silver Dippers, and singing in the Choir at St. Anthony's Church. You would also find Susan working at the Soup Kitchen in town with family members as she took great pride in helping others.  She was a member of the Slovak Sokol Jednota Society, Red Hat Society, Webster Senior Center, and St. Anthony’s Women’s Club.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff members of the Accord Adult Daycare Center and the Webster Manor for their support and compassion, as well as, the nurses and support staff from the Hospice of Western and Central MA.
