Thompson, CT – Theodore F. “Ted” Smith, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday June 14, 2021 while at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
Ted was born in Putnam, CT on February 6, 1935, son of the late Theodore and Eliza (Steen) Smith; he served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean war and taught at the Ellis Technical School prior to his retirement. Ted resided in Thompson for over forty years and was a longtime member of the VFW.
Being predeceased by his wife Elaine (LaChance) Smith, Ted is survived by his son Keith Harper and wife Clare of Dudley and his two grandchildren, Lauren (Harper) Belschner and husband Brendan of Newton and Kelsey Harper of Melrose.
