Nashua, New Hampshire – Valmore W. White, age 93, died Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.
Val was born in Marlborough, MA, son of the late Valmore and Marion (laBrache) White and lived in Sudbury before moving to Nashua in 2013. He was a retired Sudbury Police Officer, earning the rank of Sergeant. Additionally, he was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of the Blue Knights, the D.A.V., the F.O.P., and the Military Officers Association. He was an avid motorcyclist and gun collector. Val will be remembered as an all around great guy. He was caring and compassionate.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann (Corbin) White; two sons, Joseph Corbin of Clinton, Jeff White and his wife Deanna of Worcester; a daughter, Judy Ann Corbin of Clinton; a brother, Larry White of Hudson; three sisters, Margaret Manzo of Hudson, Patricia Bushey of Hudson and Adelaine Saragian of Hudson; three grandchildren, Alexandra White, Nathan White and Danielle Prior. He was predeceased by three brothers.
There are no calling hours. Burial, with military honors, will be held in the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. Date and time will be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
