Virginia M. (Fortin) Mainville
1933-2024
North Grosvenordale, CT. – Virginia M. (Fortin) Mainville, age 91, beloved wife of the late Gerald Mainville Sr., died on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at UMASS Memorial Health Care – University Campus, Worcester.
Virginia was born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late William Fortin and lived in North Grosvenordale most of her life. Prior to retirement, she worked in the Nursery at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. Virginia loved being with her family and loved being outdoors.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Mainville Jr. and his wife Leona of Brooklyn, CT, Robert Mainville and his wife Laurie of Putnam, CT, Michael Mainville and his wife Sandra of Thompson, Raymond Mainville and his wife Danna of Ashford, CT, Eric Mainville and his wife Pamela of North Grosvenordale; grandchildren, Marc, Daniel, David, Jessica, Madeline, Nicholas, Erynn, Kate, Jen and Sierra; many great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend Virginia's Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 11 am in Saint Joseph's Church, 12 Main Street, North Grosvenordale. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Putnam. There are no calling hours. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 Scholl Street, Webster has been entrusted with arrangements.
