Zigmund F. Kempinski
1924-2025
Webster- Zigmund “Felix” Kempinski, 101, of Brook St., died Monday morning, August 18, 2025, peacefully at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Germaine “Jeri” (Orciuch) Kempinski, who died on August 4, 2019, after 66 years of marriage.
Smart and down to earth, Felix was known as a very knowledgeable and ingenious machinist and builder. After retiring from Bates Shoe in Webster, Felix continued as an inventor of old school contraptions, special tools and machines much to the delight of family and friends.
He continuously showed his gratitude for life even appreciating the simple things such as his joy of feeding wild birds and growing his favorite flowers from seed to bloom.
Felix set a good example to all and was especially dedicated to his family.
He is survived by his children, Mark Kempinski of Webster, Michael Kempinski of FL, Susan Belleville of Grafton and Debra Sargent of Cape Cod; his eight grandchildren, Eric, Brian, Jeff, John, James, Stephen, Kirk, and Jeannie; his three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Stanley, Walter, Thaddeus, Anne Lemerise and Dorthy McNamara.
